About

Kathy is a pre-licensed professional counselor in the State of Georgia. Kathy received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix and a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Thomas University in Thomasville, GA.

Kathy spent several years in the corporate world before moving into the counseling profession. She credits her success in counseling with both professional and personal life experiences.

Kathy currently sees individuals and couples dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, bipolar disorder, premarital, and marital counseling. Kathy has an eclectic approach to therapy including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and Gottman Method (couples) depending on the client’s needs.

Kathy is also introducing Capstone’s Neurofeedback (NFB) program beginning February 2023. NFB is biofeedback that measures the electrical activity of the brain from the scalp level. It is a non-invasive treatment that helps train the brain to operate more efficiently. NFB can positively impact attention, cognition, mood, emotions and other unwanted behaviors. To find out more about the NFB process visit www.capstoneatlanta.com

My areas of interest include helping individuals of all ages and couples.

Kathy works under the supervision of Terry Freeman (license #2671).
